VINYASA BASICS/INTRODUCTION
Never stepped on a mat before? That’s okay! Everyone is a beginner at some point and this class is the perfect way to start, without stressing about feeling overwhelmed. In this 60-minute class you learn the foundation and principles of vinyasa, a flow-based yoga, through verbal description and demonstration of yoga. Everyone who takes this virtual class loves the peace and balance it offers. You will also gain an understanding of safety and stability within each pose. Dr. Sonja walks you through yoga so you can have the confidence and tools you need to reach peace, relaxation and healing. This class offers the motivation and guidance you need to achieve optimal health results.
SLOW FLOW YOGA
Yoga takes a full-body healing approach. Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced yogi, this class can take you through a deeply restorative process for health and well-being. In this 60-minute class, we guide you into longer holds for poses, with several rounds of breath in each pose. With guided breathing, your body targets deep connective tissue between the muscles to achieve increased circulation, improved mobility and flexibility in the body. Breathing and slow movement are key to experience the deeply restorative process that slow flow yoga offers. Each class ends with calming breath work and a mental cool down.
VINYASA ALL LEVELS
In this dynamic, 60-minute flowing practice, we consciously link movement of the body with the breath. With the instructor’s excellent guided breathing exercises and poses, the body can feel revived and refreshed! We practice balanced sequenced postures so the student builds strength, flexibility and physical stamina, while releasing tension and stress to achieve a sense of inner calm. Regulated breathing in yoga stimulates the lymphatic system in the body to release toxins. After a vinyasa class students often feel lighter, more vibrant and have less mental fog.
